So after taking this workshop on sales (which I will fill you in on when I’ve finished everything), I feel like I need to change my branding.
I started as a high school junior with this idea of a dark, sort of rough and grunge brand. Lots of black, rock and roll, vinyl, Ray Bans, and all of that. I still like the idea of that and it is me to a degree but I feel like my work doesn’t really reflect that, you know? Now, my work is much lighter and colorful and happy. I have a lot of teals and sages in my color palette and as I was mulling over what to do, I looked at my tattoo and it came to me!
I will leave you guys in suspense a little bit but hopefully you will see in the coming days what I mean. I really hope you stick around and support me in this big career move, I love all of you! <3
The RAM and the OS came while I was in Connecticut and my beautiful monitor came today!! I just set it up and it is amazing. Pictures don’t really do it justice but I took this when I first turned it on.
Here is the site for the monitor itself so you can truly appreciate it’s beauty. The SSD is on it’s way (I will post pictures of everything when I can). I have yet to order everything else but it’s starting to come together!
Hello all! The queue is empty so that means it’s time to start updating you on upcoming work!
My lovely boyfriend is quite tech savvy so instead of buying a $2000+ iMac, together we (well let’s be honest, mostly him) will be putting together a fully custom desktop for all my editing needs! As parts come in, I will update you on everything, for those of you who are interesting in that sort of thing. Looking at all the parts and having Elliot explain what everything does has me pretty excited!
As of now, I am no longer doing weekly shoots for GiGi’s Closet. I’m not sure what their situation is but hopefully once the weather gets warmer, they will be in need of some photographs. I sure hope so because I miss all my amazing models and stylists.
I have been doing a lot of re-editing of old works lately. After looking back at stuff I edited a year or two ago, I realized how much I’ve learned and how my own style has developed so I will be posting comparisons, like a “before and after” of my recent re-edits.
I graduated The New York Institute of Photography! I completed the Complete Course in Professional Photography right before Christmas and got my diploma this past weekend! I’m so excited to be a graduate but that doesn’t mean that I am done with school. I will continue to seek further education (and try to document that here with links and such). If you have any questions about photography classes (in the New York City area or online), you can always message me and I would be more than happy to help.
I think that’s all for now, if anything exciting happens, you’ll be the first to know <3
